The Necklace

Here we are, women, who have been the beneficiaries of education, resources, reproductive choice, travel opportunities, the Internet, and a longer life expectancy than women have ever had in history.   What can and will we do?

- Jean Shinoda Bolen -

And so begins this book that I picked up just before Christmas – one of those that jumped off the shelf for me!  It’s a true account of one woman’s inspiration to purchase a beautiful $37,000 necklace, with 12 other women!

Relationships were built, tested and re-built as the necklace was passed from each woman – and they each shared it in their own unique way.

What resonated with me the most was the way that the necklace was used to support other causes and bring joy to the lives of the people who extended beyond the circle of 13.

This is a quick read – I recommend it!
